I was tasked with designing a poster for a comedy show and aimed to create something that was both humorous and lighthearted to reflect the spirit of the event. Additionally, I wanted the design to stand out at first glance to capture people’s attention. This project was created entirley in Adobe Illustrator. I decided to go with a drawn, “cartoony” aesthetic. I chose a desert setting, as it allowed me to easily layer different colors for visual depth. From there, I developed the idea of featuring people dressed in cactus costumes instead of actual desert plants.
